According to what I read on the CNN web page today, I guess that at least 1 Democrat from California must read my blog. I say this because Tom Ammino, a democrat, has put forth a bill that would legalize POT. I guess I should send him an email and let him know I did not mean it, I was just using sarcasm to make a point, (as we all know there are some people that believe anything they read).

In a news article by CNN, “One of the more controversial ideas is to legalize the sale of marijuana, as proposed in a bill introduced in California’s state legislature by Democratic State Assemblyman Tom Ammiano this year. The bill proposed taxing pot by $50 per ounce. If legalized, marijuana could become California’s No. 1 cash crop, bringing in an estimated $1 billion a year in state taxes” When I was writing my blog abut how to solve the problems with health-care reform, I jokingly made the statement that the government should ask the local drug dealers how they manage to keep prices cheap and make a profit, but I really never thought that any government official would actually think this to be a good idea.

With all the trouble that the United States has with trying to prevent drugs, how could any State actually think that legalizing “pot” would solve those problems. If the government tried to legalize this particular drug, how would they set about to control the flow of who has it, and insure that they pay taxes on it? I have heard it said that the plan would be to sell it like cigarettes and tax by the pack, but as I see it, if someone gets stopped by the Police and they have a case that has pot in it, how do they prove it was bought legally? It is my opinion that the government really would not make that much in taxes as anyone who smokes dope, knows where to buy it, and will continue to do so as to not pay the high government prices.

We as citizens have come to a point where we really have to start looking at what kind of people we are electing to office, we can no longer afford to put idiots in the government that are just there to make themselves rich. It seems that we are now in a position where the country is in debt, the poor are getting poorer, and the government officials who are supposed to protect us, are only there to look out for what will make them rich. If we as citizens do not start having more responsibility over who we put in office, then soon this country will no longer be the Great Powerhouse it always has been.

I cannot say that I was surprised that the idea to legalize Pot came from a democrat, because I have been fairly certain watching the new president’s administration spend so much money that we cannot ever get the budget balanced, (and continuing to bail out companies that can give million dollar bonuses), that they were all stoned anyway, no-one with a clear head could be spending so much with no accountability.

If you honestly think about the fact that the country as a whole spend millions of dollars trying to keep kids off drugs in one breath, and then in the next try and legalize drugs to have another way to tax the people, it fits with the President’s bailout theory. The government bailout companies and banks that that not only wasted money, but ruined our economy, (handing them billions of dollars while just smacking theirnd and tell them how bad they managed them, then turn around and let those companies hand out large bonuses to those that ran the companies into the ground). This is logic only a democrat can make sense of.

Come on California and Democrats, are you kidding me…….are you really thinking that with all the money you took from education that it is  smart to legalize pot??? OR is it your belief maybe, that if the kids get to stay stoned they will not realize they have no education and no future? Get real, and step away from the bong, your state needs led by real leaders with real answers, not drug pushers.
